Illustration / design of educational materials for children. I’ve illustrated over 200 titles: from reading training books and exercise books, to fiction books about animals and nature. I have also written several children’s books.
Through lectures, workshops and courses, I like to inspire and share my experiences. Eg: How to work as an illustrator. How to make a book. Different ways to be creative with words and pictures. Content is adapted to each group’s age and background.

A philosophical perspective opens the eyes of our basic conditions as humans. My workshops mixes philosophical input, quick drawing exercises and reflection. The workshop generates interesting and unexpected dialog. Perfect for starting a seminar or teambuilding day, when you need to think outside the box or are in the process of a major change.
As mostly of my books comes from my life I want the children to find stories from there. I tell them about myself and how I got some ideas. Give them simple writing tips. As I´m also an illustrator I show what the picture add. A funny moment is when I draw first and they draw after without knowing what they are drawing.
Basic or advanced workshops suitable for ages ten and up. Fun and accessable drawing exercises gives the participants the tools to build their own story and populate it with well-developed characters. The comics course focuses on making comics from start to finish. The manga course also focuses on the origin of Japanese comics and what manga is like today. Available as basic as well as advanced workshops/courses.
I´m a bookbinder and during the years I´ve had different educational assignments for schools and private groups. I offer schools workshops where we create with paper. This workshop is about creating a fictional character and what it looks like. What does the illustrator know about the character that no one else knows? How does an illustrator work? How do you draw feelings, perspectives, and what secrets are there that only illustrators know about? And how is it possible to draw a character exactly the same but from different angles in a whole book?
Concept 1. I talk about how I do when I write and illustrate. I show sketches and original.
Students will have different writing exercises and then get to do illustrations/covers.
This can be adapted to different age of groups/grades.
Concept 2. Students will draw their self-portrait and try to do it differently by thinking of light, volume and shadow. Based on the self-portrait, they write a fictional story, because fictional stories can often say more about the person than the pure facts.
I offer a picture book workshop for children in preschool to middle school age. Together we create a fictional character and a story about the one that we then illustrate. I also tell you a bit about how I work as an illustrator.
I also offer a lecture about the process of creating a book that suits older children.

I arrange a workshop in comic making for children in middle and secondary school. We go through the basics in comic making, like speech bubbles and face expressions, and the children get to make their own comics, with or without text.
I’m used to explaining to children who are limited in Swedish, and I can adjust the workshop so it fits the group of children.
