What is your name and how would you briefly describe what you do?
My name is Erik Kohlström. I am an illustrator, and also work with nature education. I like images with a lot of content – facts, atmosphere and lots of detail. My art revolves around nature and ecology, and although I mostly work with factual stuff I try to find a "living angle" to everything I do. Most of my work is information and education, but I also enjoy drawing for childrens books and such.
What’s the best thing about working with you, from a clients point of view?
I tell stories through art, without compromising neither facts nor esthetics. As an educated biologist and science communicator I can make complex information easy to understand, and as an artist I can make information beautiful and intriguing.
Tell us a little about your background. Do you have an education, or are you self-taught?
As an artist I am self taught, but I have studied biology and journalism at Lund University. Previoulsy I worked as a radio reporter for the show "Naturmorgon", broadcasting live from the wild. My spare time is often spent in the forest.
