What is your name and how would you briefly describe what you do?
My name is Petter Leyman and I primarily work with illustrations. But if a commission offers the opportunity to work with graphic design I gladly seize it. All types of images are interesting to deal with but I am particularly partial to the narrative kind, the one that whets the appetite and arouse curiosity or attentiveness.
What’s the best thing about working with you, from a clients point of view?
Involvement. I try to be clear with what I believe is best for an image and its expression. At the same time no client should feel the need to tip toe around my professional pride. So trust is an important factor and trust is built on communication. A good mix between the customers point of view and my skills often renders a good result.
What does your work table tell us about you?
That I love my job. On my desk you find precious toys from then and now. My big beautiful and cooperative Imac share the space with a Wacom board, a pair of headphones, a Rubik´s cube and a small model of The Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. When I get tired of the digital world an organized chaos of pens, paper and paints fill the space.
