Tina Backman

What is your name and how would you briefly describe what you do?

Tina Backman. I´m an illustrator and surface designer. I do work on commission, mostly illustrations and patterns for printed matters, magazines, textiles etc. I also produce and sell my own range of products under my own name, Tina Backman in Sweden, Japan and in the US.

What are you working with right now?

Illustrations for a new magazine, illustrations and design for a book project and kitchen towels for a client in Japan.

What’s a usual day like at your job?

I walk to the office and start the day with a big mug of coffee. I check my emails and chat to my friends I share the office with, then I start work and leave the office around 16-17.
